Chris Combs is a composer, guitarist and producer from Tulsa, OK. An integral member of the jazz/experimental ensemble, Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey, Combs’ compositions have been featured at premier jazz venues in the US as well as international festivals including: North Sea, Montreal International Jazz Fest, Jazzfestival Saalfelden, NYC Winter Jazz Fest, Jazzwerkstatt Bern and Turku Jazz among others.

In addition to his work as a writer and performer, Combs has worked in various session and production roles for studios in Tulsa, Santa Fe, Denver, and LA. He has collaborated with a diverse array of musicians from Jeff Coffin (Dave Matthews Band) to Steven Bernstein (Levon Helm), to modern Nola luminaries Brad Walker (Sturgill Simpson), Dan Oestreicher (Trombone Shorty), Mike Dillon (Ani Difranco) among many others. Combs recently collaborated with Matt Chamberlain on his solo release, “Comet B”, and has produced a number of albums for other artists. His first solo release, “Combsy”, will be released in the fall of 2017 on Horton Records.”
