Artist Statement
St. Louis has long been a city of intersections; geographically, racially, socioeconomically, we are made of a diverse fabric simultaneously dependent on its interwoven structure. “Lives Lived Together” is an examination of the spaces we occupy both as the self and the collective, as well as how these spaces connect with our past and modern cultural identities. Combining ancient Global art forms with contemporary and interactive technologies enables us to examine these universal themes and speak to our individual and collective selves.
