The Perceptive Mechanism showcases and highlights the diverse work from a number of mid-western painters and printmakers from the Graduate School of Art and Design at Southern Illinois University. A variety of work with a variety of media from ballpoint pen to oil paint, are used to create everything from representational to non-objective images. This show does not have a particular theme, but instead allows each artist to show their body of work in line with their particular vision and artist statement. There is, perhaps, something for everyone at this show.
